I have been pretty quiet lately. I figure I proably ought to just touch base and let you know what is on my mind lately. I hopped back on the work travel bus this week-- I have have quite a hiatus from it as I have been pushing any travel I might have back so I can deal with IVF stuff. Needless to say, the clock ran out and I am now faced with several trips coming that I can no longer put off. One one hand it's great- my mind gets a break from all this thinking and I can get my work done-- but on the other it takes a toll in having to adjust and then readjust my schedule to fit in the whole IVF thing around my work schedule and around what little social life I have.

We were not planning on getting back on the IVF bus so soon- on the other hand the numbers looked good this month and we finally figured out why last month was a bust. The temp physican assistant called in the wrong dosage of lupron. So my microflare lupron wasn't really a microflare ( a kind of quartering of the dose)-- it was more of a doubling of the dose. I am not happy about this, but honestly what options do I have other than to just suck it up and move forward.

Well, that really sucks. What is your RE offering to make up for the mistake? Refunding your money? Offering you a reduced rate on a future IVF? That is a huge mistake. What did they say? I think you deserve something. Good luck. I'm sorry that you are dealing with such obvious incompetents.

Ellie- My jaw dropped when I read that. You have got to be kidding. That just sucks. They should seriously compensate you. What's so shocking... is that I know you're at one of the top IVF places.... Guess you can never be safe from others making errors...

So sorry-

That is truly suckful. I agree with the others- you deserve some sort of compensation for their screw up. As if we don't have enough to deal with...

Well... I guess I'm glad to hear that the stuff-up was found out (although not about the stuff-up happening in the first place). There seem to be a lot of us in "take a break" mode. I guess we all started the year full of energy, and are now in need of a breather.

Good luck getting work sorted.

Ellie -- OMG! When I read about the Lupron mistake....I just can't believe it and don't know what to say!

Please tell me that they are refunding ALL of your money, or offering you a completely free IVF cycle???

I can't believe they screwed up like that! I'm so sorry this happened. :( What did your clinic have to say for themselves???

Btw, what Lupron dose were you supposed to be on?? When I cycle, I am on a dose of 0.1 mL.

Aw ellie... I can't believe that. That really sucks. But you're right -- gotta keep moving forward. hope your RE can sort it out for you and make your next cycle a bit easier financially or something. You certainly deserve it.

How come when they screw up they don't have to "pay" for it??

Wow.

Good Luck this time around!

Ellie, I can't believe this. I would be so frustrated to have learned about their mistake. I agree with the others that you should get a refund or a discounted future cycle since your last basically had no shot at working due to their mistake.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you.
